Primarily, my blog will enable me to display sports images. However, the real intention is to achieve steady improvement as a photographer, to get out and shoot, shoot and shoot some more. I feel the pressure to post my very best or at least to display the almost shots, and try to explain how it could be better. That is why, I am beginning with the above photo. This was taken at the Lafayette Jeff Regional in 2006. I was in the infield taking a photo of our pole vaulter. I realized the 4x100 second exchange was coming my way. I turned and tried to get a photo of our county rivals exchange. We did not have a team competing in the race. Unfortunately, Carmel dropped the baton, I caught the action moment. My shutter speed was only 1/200, a bit blurred, I think.
