I have been wanting to take some black and white photos at our meets. I can set it in-camera. But this one was taken in color and adjusted in Photoshop CS2. I used a method suggested by Dave Black in his Workshop at the Ranch website, October 2007 edition. It goes beyond the simple adjustments>monochrome settings. It requires some adjustments in channel mixer, color balance and shadows. I like the moment too. I am attempting to get more shots outside the competition of racing. The preparation before the race. Little things do matter!
